I think so. I talked to her real briefly when we all came back here, she started cryin' about how I'd been so close to bein' "rehabilitated".

If she has her way, there won't be a one of us left in control by the end.

[ Oh Titan. Hunter actively disassociates for a moment. ]

[ Juzo, of course, has realized his mistake far too late. He crouches, hands on Hunter's shoulders. ]

It's okay. We're gonna be fine. I don't think she could try another stunt like that if she wanted to, and we have a way to fight it now. It's alright.

[pyrighteous]

[ Thanks Juzo. He's breathing hard, working himself into a panic attack. ]

Or it just keeps happening. And - she chips away at us every time, until we can't fight it any more, and we're just. Lost.

Hunter. I need you to look at me.

[ He leans in a little, the cool steel of his barrel bumping lightly against one of Hunter's temples before he pulls back again. ]

Listen to me. I'm not gonna let that happen. Not to you, not to anyone. She's not gonna win.

[ Hunter forces himself to focus on Juzo's face. ]

How do you know that? I - maybe some people have monsters that won't fight them, but mine -

You're not alone, Hunter. You can fight back, and you don't have to do it by yourself. You know we'll bring each other back from the brink as many times as it takes.

You'd do it for me, wouldn't you? For Yor and Stoat and the others?

I couldn't cry much in the Emperor's Coven. If Belos caught me doing it, he'd punish me.

All the more reason to introduce Belos' face to my fist if I ever see him.

[ He rubs at his face, then stands slowly. ]

[ He loops an arm around Hunter's shoulders as they head back to the dorm. Thankfully everyone else is out right now or the place would be filthy with strings.

Anyway for convenience we're gonna say the tarot cards from the memshare are somewhere Juzo can get to them, and he brings out the Strength card and offers it to Hunter. ]
